Questions

What happens when you die?

Can you tell when your heart is about to stop beating? Can anyone? People who’ve died said that they could hear their heart beating in their chest, first very loudly and fast and as time went by, it became a whisper in their ear, a soft tap in their chest…like the ending of a song or a long note finally ending.

Do you become a ghost?

If you do, do you have a shape? Do you look human? Can you speak? Can you listen? Can you cry or scream? Or are you just there? Unable to leave but unwilling to stay or unable to stay but unwilling to leave? How differently would the world look? Could you still see color or is everything in black and white…monotone? Could you still hear sounds? The sound of babies wailing, dogs barking, horns honking, birds chirpinh, people talking…

Does your spirit or your soul die?

Are they one and the same or are they different? How are they different? How are they similar? Is one located in your heart and the other the brain? They have different definitions but are considered synonyms so which one is more important? Is it more important to have a soul or is it more important to have a spirit? Which one can you live without? Do we have them at all? If not, why are dead people called lost souls…why are live people called lost souls? What is the difference between a spirit and a ghost? Why are they used interchangeably?

I feel as if there are so many questions and not enough time to answer them all and even if you could find them out…would you remember any of it? Would it be as if you feel into a dreamless sleep and woke up or a sleep where you dream but you’ve forgotten it all by the time you open your eyes?

I wish I knew the answers to my questions…I wish I was brave enough to find out.
